We are currently hiring for these seasonal positions:

Lead Farmhand + Floral Design Assistant

We are looking for someone who can meet a majority of these points

  • 3-5 years of farm experience- priority given to flower + medicinal herb farmers
  • 1-2 years in a lead or management position
  • 1-2 years of floral design experience
  • a desire to work hard, long hours in the heat
  • flexibility with tasks- your work will not always be with flowers or the farm per say- we also have an air bnb and event space that need regular cleaning and some supervision
  • comfortable driving on curvy, mountain roads
  • good driving record
  • open-ness to work for a couple and on a family farm- lots of personal dynamics do come up
  • eagerness to learn
  • excellent organizational skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • positive attitude
  • self motivated
  • willingness to spend one week working with us (at $12/hr) before coming on board – to see if we’re all a good fit
  • acceptance of seasonal nature of the work – late February/early March – November
  • available to work 3-5 days per week depending on the time of the season and work loads

MAIN JOB TASKS:

cleaning buckets, seeding, planting, watering, harvesting, weeding, pruning, processing flowers + herbs, shrubs + medicinal herbs, comfortable and organized with GMP’s,  taking inventory of flowers + supplies, communicating with customers- e-mail + in person, working any weddings on the farm, floral design, organizing deliveries, taking deliveries, cleaning,  laundry, being a leader for the other farm hands, weekly check ins with us and crew

PAY depends on experience, but starts at $12 with a quick increase to $15 and incremental raises throughout the season based on performance.

Farmhands

We are also hiring a farmhand, maybe two. This position would be work trade in exchange for housing, a small weekly stipend and any food produced on the farm, with of course flowers + herbs.
